Products
Import Products as Draft or Active
When you import a product (or connect an existing listing to a supplier product), do you want the status in Shopify set to draft or Active by default?
If you choose Active, products will be available for sale right away as you import or connect them from the Crowdship interface.
Add tag(s) to Imported Products
Any tags added here will automatically be applied to all products imported from Crowdship. You can modify individual product tags via the Import List before importing them to your store, or at any time after importing, directly from Shopify.
Product Pricing:
What should your “Compare At Price” be set to when importing a product?
Shopify allows you to set a "compare at" price for each variant SKU. Crowdship can automatically populate this price to help automate your merchandising strategy using the following options:
Do not set compare at price
Use suggested retail price (SRP) as my compare at price
Calculate my compare at price using my price and a markup (specify markup) -
Crowdship will only set the price of product variants if you're importing products from Crowdship. If you're connecting existing listings by SKU, your compare-at price will not be updated.
Supplier Updates a Product
Crowdship can keep your products in sync with Suppliers by updating each attribute if changes are made. You can enable and disable specific attributes from being updated automatically to ensure your custom product listing data is never overwritten.
Regardless of connection method or attribute options below, Crowdship will always sync inventory levels and backorder policies.
Choose to enable or disable sync for:
Product Title
Product Description
Product Tags
Product “Vendor”
Product Type
Product Images
Product Variants
Sync specific updates to product variants:
SKU
Barcode
Weight
Image
Note: Attribute sync only applies to products which were imported from Crowdship. If you connected a product SKU to a supplier manually or via the Sync by SKU feature, attribute fields above will not be updated even if the settings are enabled.
Supplier Product Removal
A supplier may remove a product from their dropship catalog at any time. Sometimes suppliers may remove a product temporarily, but in most cases Suppliers remove discontinued products that will no longer be available.
You may either:
Set the product to draft (Recommended)
Automatically delete the product from your store
Do nothing (this will still set the inventory quantity to 0 to prevent overselling).
