How to prevent fraud orders from being fulfilled
Updated over a week ago

Online fraud is a serious concern for new and seasoned online retailers alike. Without the proper procedures in place, retailers run the risk of high ticket chargebacks that can range from inconvenient to devastating to your bottom line.

To prevent fraud orders from getting processed, we highly recommend the use of a fraud prevention app such as NoFraud or Signifyd, in addition to native fraud scanning functionality from platforms like Shopify or WoooCommerce.

By default, most shopping cart platforms automatically authorize and capture payment at checkout.

To use a fraud prevention app effectively with Crowdship, you'll need to change your payment settings to only AUTHORIZE ONLY at checkout, and configure the fraud prevention app to CAPTURE after the order is verified.

Crowdship will only import orders once they're set to PAID status, which occurs when payment is captured. This should protect you against fraudulent orders.
